Immediate opening: we are hiring a HSE officer in Roanoke County, Virginia. On the job you will handle: • Audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry Ideal candidate: • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
