Now hiring: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Caroline County, Maryland. You will be based at a container port. On a typical shift you will set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather 4+ years on the tools preferred.
