Machinist — Washington County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a machinist in Washington County, Minnesota. You will be based in a textile and apparel unit. On a typical shift you will sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching. Ideal candidate: • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory 5+ years on the tools preferred.
