Ladle pourer wanted in Humphreys County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Humphreys County, Tennessee. You will be based at a brass and bronze foundry. You will check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity. You should have: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal 3+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Walk-in interviews this week.
