Now hiring: we are hiring a brickwork mason in Androscoggin County, Maine. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage On the job you will handle: • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
