Restoration bricklayer • Borough of Halton, England

We are recruiting: we are hiring a restoration bricklayer in Borough of Halton, England. You will be based on a new-build development. You should have: • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently On the job you will handle: • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
