Immediate opening: we are hiring a steam press operator in Lake County, California. You will work at a textile finishing unit. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work Your main tasks: • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments 1+ years on the tools preferred.
