Foundry operative • Akwanga, Nasarawa State

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a foundry operative in Akwanga, Nasarawa State. The job is in the melting bay of a steel foundry. Day-to-day duties: • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes You should have: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Basic grinding and fettling skills Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
