Safety officer wanted in Rice County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a safety officer in Rice County, Kansas. The job is on a road and infrastructure project. On a typical shift you will run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry; enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment; take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry; inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height; audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges; deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors. What we are looking for: • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
