Gantry crane operator wanted in Amherst County

Join our team: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Amherst County, Virginia. You will work at a container port and shipping yard. Your main tasks: • Climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins • Keep a safe distance from overhead power lines • Read and interpret the load chart before every lift • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity • Fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands Ideal candidate: • Proven experience on mobile, tower or overhead cranes • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination Rotating shifts. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Pay around $230 per day, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
