Join our team: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in El Paso County, Colorado. Ideal candidate: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium The role involves: • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode Part-time with flexible hours.
