Now hiring: we are hiring an argon welder in Kankia, Katsina State. The job is in a food and dairy equipment factory. On a typical shift you will back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job. Ideal candidate: • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts.
