Great opportunity: we are hiring a safety officer in Kalawao County, Hawaii. You will work at a manufacturing plant. What we are looking for: • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills • Clear spoken delivery for toolbox talks and inductions You will audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges; ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site; carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements; inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height.
