Brick and block layer • Lexington County, South Carolina

Vacancy available: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Lexington County, South Carolina. You will be based on a scaffolded high-rise site. On the job you will handle: • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser Ideal candidate: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage 2+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around $18 per hour, based on your experience. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
