Safety officer • Davie County, North Carolina

Vacancy available: we are hiring a safety officer in Davie County, North Carolina. You will be based at a manufacturing plant. Day to day you will enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment; take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry; inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height; stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift; investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports. Ideal candidate: • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot Six days a week, one day off.
