We are recruiting: we are hiring a metal caster in Amelia County, Virginia. You will tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes. You should have: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Six days a week, one day off.
