Immediate opening: gypsum plasterer (Virginia)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gypsum plasterer in York County, Virginia. You will be based at a plastering and dry lining contractor. Day to day you will float and rule off walls to a flat surface with a straightedge; check walls for plumb and level as you go; dot-and-dab plasterboard to walls and ceilings; clean trowels, buckets and mixers before the plaster sets; apply bonding and browning undercoats to brickwork and blockwork; tape and joint plasterboard seams with scrim and filler. You should have: • Reliable timekeeping and a strong work ethic • Proven experience hand-skimming and floating to a flat finish • Able to read drawings and set out work to a deadline At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
