Your main tasks: • Mask off trim, glass and rubber seals with tape and paper • Prime and seal bare metal to stop rust • Apply etch primer to aluminium and galvanised panels • Mix two-pack (2K) clear coat with hardener in the correct ratio • Wipe down panels with degreaser and a tack cloth before spraying • Set the spray gun air pressure and fan pattern for an even finish Ideal candidate: • Good eye for colour matching and blending • Confident with wet-sanding and machine polishing Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
