Occupational health and safety officer — Highland

Now hiring: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Highland, Scotland. Ideal candidate: • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites • Clear spoken delivery for toolbox talks and inductions Your main tasks: • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. £15 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
