Immediate opening: we are hiring a stone mason in Poweshiek County, Iowa. You will be based in a stone processing yard. The role involves: • Level and align slabs so joints stay tight and surfaces sit flat • Grind and hone uneven floors flat before the final polish • Lay marble tiles and slabs on floors, stairs and walls with adhesive mortar • Polish stone surfaces to a high gloss using diamond pads and polishing compound • Cut marble and granite slabs on a bridge saw with diamond blades Requirements: • Willing to work at heights for facade cladding • Able to read measurements, templates and cutting lists • Reliable timekeeping and able to work in a team Meals and transport allowance provided.
