Great opportunity: we are hiring a lift technician in Hughes County, South Dakota. The job is at a busy lift company. Day to day you will measure rope tension and check for broken strands; respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers; run load and overload tests with test weights; fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork; set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work Full-time with occasional weekends.
