Immediate opening: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Williams County, North Dakota. Requirements: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination Your main tasks: • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
