Now hiring: we are hiring a nursery worker in Tazewell County, Illinois. You will be based at a private estate garden. On a typical shift you will sharpen, clean and oil hand tools and mower blades; plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings; check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads; weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe; lay turf and oversow bare patches of lawn; dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds. What we are looking for: • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules • Previous experience as a gardener or in grounds maintenance Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
