Immediate opening: we are hiring a MIG welder in Oneida County, New York. You will work on a structural steel site. Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances The role involves change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc; clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding.
