Immediate opening: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator (dozer) in Bristol Bay Borough, Alaska. The job is at a civil contractor's yard. You will spread imported fill in even layers ready for compaction; backfill trenches and foundations once services are laid; work to the dig plan and the banksman's signals; operate crawler dozers to push and spread fill across the site; cut and fill ground to the levels marked on the grade stakes. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for climbing on and off the machine • Able to read grade stakes, drawings and site levels • Valid heavy equipment or plant operator licence Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. $3,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
