Precision welder • Iron County, Wisconsin

We are recruiting: we are hiring a precision welder in Iron County, Wisconsin. You will be based on an industrial construction site. You should have: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances Day-to-day duties: • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time with occasional weekends. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
