Great opportunity: we are hiring a gas pipe fitter in Westchester County, New York. You will work on residential and apartment building sites. Requirements: • Physically fit for lifting pipe, meters and cylinders • Valid gas fitter's licence and Gas Safe (or local) registration The role involves: • Thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant • Complete gas safety certificates and label the finished installation • Install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation • Install gas meters, regulators and isolation valves • Locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections • Run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
