Join our team: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Tattnall County, Georgia. Day-to-day duties: • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length Ideal candidate: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements Full-time, day shift.
