Requirements: • Own basic hand tools (tape, square, screw gun) • Confident on the double-mitre saw, welder and corner-cleaning machine Day-to-day duties: • Take site measurements of openings before fabrication • Fit EPDM gaskets and brush-pile weather seals along the rails • Insert galvanised steel reinforcement into the profile chambers and screw-fix it • Cut and weld mullions and transoms into the frame • Wrap, label and load finished units for delivery without scratching the profile • Cut uPVC profiles to size on a double-mitre saw at 45 degrees Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
