Day-to-day duties: • Dig foundation trenches and pits with pick and shovel • Clear debris and sweep the slab before the next pour • Cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days • Wheel barrows of rubble to the skip and keep the site clean • Mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer Ideal candidate: • Basic knowledge of hand tools like shovel, trowel and breaker • Site safety induction or labour card an advantage • Punctual and ready to do overtime when a pour demands it Full-time with occasional weekends.
