Meat trimmer — Bienville Parish

Vacancy available: we are hiring a meat trimmer in Bienville Parish, Louisiana. Day to day you will mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder; debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife; break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; stuff and link fresh sausages with casings; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry 6+ years on the tools preferred.
