Now hiring: we are hiring a butcher in Blount County, Alabama. You will work at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. Day to day you will season and marinate meat on request; dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; weigh, price and label cuts for the display case; vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders; debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife. What we are looking for: • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
