Ideal candidate: • A good eye for level, plumb and even grout lines • Able to work to deadlines on busy sites Day-to-day duties: • Spread adhesive with a notched trowel and back-butter the tiles • Lay floor and wall tiles to plumb and level using a spirit level • Grout the joints and wipe off the excess with a damp sponge • Check the falls to floor wastes so the water drains away • Screed and prepare uneven floors before tiling • Run silicone sealant into corners and expansion joints Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
