Join our team: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in White Pine County, Nevada. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard On a typical shift you will select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size.
