Vacancy available: we are hiring a garment presser in Marion County, Kansas. On the job you will handle: • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
