Lifting rigger — City of Chesapeake

Join our team: we are hiring a lifting rigger in City of Chesapeake, Virginia. Your main tasks: • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit Ideal candidate: • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites Pay around $2,600 per month, based on your experience. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
