You should have: • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work Day to day you will set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear; install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway; rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables; wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches; adjust door operator timing and re-levelling accuracy.
