Great opportunity: we are hiring a shuttering and concrete hand in Alkaleri, Bauchi State. On the job you will handle: • Cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days • Fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule • Screed and level slabs to the marked dead level and falls • Strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength • Carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab • Patch honeycombs and tie-rod holes with non-shrink grout You should have: • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods Rotating shifts.
