Immediate opening: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Solihull, England. You will work at an aluminium die-casting plant. Ideal candidate: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection The role involves: • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects Six days a week, one day off. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Pay around £1,700 per month, based on your experience. Contact us to fix an interview.
