Die-casting operator — City of York

We are recruiting: we are hiring a die-casting operator in City of York, England. Requirements: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection On the job you will handle: • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
