Requirements: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently Day-to-day duties: • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance 2+ years on the tools preferred.
