Now hiring: we are hiring a machinist in Cascade County, Montana. Ideal candidate: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently Day-to-day duties: • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required Full-time with occasional weekends.
