Argon welder — Saratoga County

Join our team: we are hiring an argon welder in Saratoga County, New York. You will work in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. On the job you will handle: • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions You should have: • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances Six days a week, one day off.
