Argon arc welder wanted in De Soto Parish

Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon arc welder in De Soto Parish, Louisiana. The job is at a busy fabrication workshop. What we are looking for: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Day-to-day duties: • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Pay around $3,000 per month, based on your experience. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
