Great opportunity: we are hiring a laundry presser in Adams County, Iowa. You will work at a textile finishing unit. What we are looking for: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine The role involves fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics.
