Immediate opening: we are hiring a presser in Sumter County, Alabama. The job is in a garment export house. Day-to-day duties: • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board You should have: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine 5+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours. Pay around $3,900 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
