Refrigeration and AC technician — City of Hopewell

We are recruiting: we are hiring a refrigeration and AC technician in City of Hopewell, Virginia. You will be based at an HVAC contractor's workshop. On a typical shift you will recover the refrigerant before dismantling or relocating a unit; core-drill through brick and concrete walls to route the refrigerant piping; wire the indoor-to-outdoor interconnecting cable and connect the isolator; cut, flare and bend copper pipe for the liquid and suction lines; clean filters, blower wheels and condenser coils during servicing; mount indoor and outdoor split units on wall brackets and level them. Ideal candidate: • Can read electrical and piping schematics • Presentable and polite with customers on site • ITI in refrigeration and air conditioning an advantage At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
