Estate gardener • City of Fairfax, Virginia

Vacancy available: we are hiring an estate gardener in City of Fairfax, Virginia. You will be based at a plant nursery. You should have: • Able to safely operate mowers, strimmers and hedge trimmers • Pesticide spraying certificate (PA1/PA6) an advantage • Valid driving licence for travel between sites Day-to-day duties: • Rake up fallen leaves, grass clippings and garden waste • Apply fertiliser, compost and mulch to beds • Lay turf and oversow bare patches of lawn • Spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease • Operate strimmers, leaf blowers and brush cutters • Check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads Full-time with occasional weekends. $4,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
