Cook — Kodiak Island Borough

Vacancy available: we are hiring a cook in Kodiak Island Borough, Alaska. You will chop, dice and portion vegetables, fish and meat; marinate meats and prepare curries, gravies and bases; prepare the mise en place before each service; check fryer oil and change it when it breaks down; follow cleaning schedules and wash down work surfaces; manage the tandoor and skewer kebabs. You should have: • Familiar with North Indian, tandoor and continental cooking • Able to lift heavy stock pots and sacks of supplies • Good teamwork and clear communication under pressure 5+ years on the tools preferred.
