Ideal candidate: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently Day-to-day duties: • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge 4+ years on the tools preferred.
